THE PROCESS
NUE Conceal is an innovative form of Cosmetic Tattooing and scar treatment that uses the best colour matching technology to determine the precise pigment of a person’s skin and the combination of tattoo pigments required to recreate the exact skin colour for camouflaging scarring.
This treatment is ideal for those looking to blend scarred areas with their surrounding skin, offering a long-lasting and natural-looking solution.
NUE CONCEAL TREATMENTS
There are 2 treatment options for addressing your scarring and stretch marks:
Camouflage – Pigmentation Treatment
This is the classic NUE Conceal treatment, featuring the innovative
colour matching technology and pigment mixing.
Inkless - Scar Treatment
The unique Inkless treatment doesn’t use any coloured pigment.
Instead, a specially formulated serum is tattooed into your scarring which helps reinvigorate the skin, improving elasticity and restoring its colour. Inkless is the preferred treatment option for deep stretch marks that have a physical texture and for those who have a personal preference for not wanting tattooing.
the scar healing process
A scar is an irreparable trace of a previous wound.
A lot of the time, there is pigmentation removal in the healing process, and on some occasions, darker pigmentation in the healing process.
When the dermis is damaged, the body produces new collagen to reconnect the cells that have been broken down by injury.
The wound then turns into a scar. Depending on the severity of the wound, it can take 18-24 months for scar tissue to fully heal.
During the first stage of the healing process, the wound normally looks red/pink. As time passes, the redness turns brown, eventually lightening to a whiter shade over time.
the 3 phases of tissue healing
Phase 1
The accute inflammatory phase
This happens immediately after the injury.
This is the immediate response of our bodies when it detects a wound, and usually lasts up to 72 hours.
During this phase, the wound may experience inflammation, redness, swelling and pain about the injured area.
Phase 2
The proliferation phase / repair phase
This stage begins when the inflammation subsides.
This stage happens when granulating tissues, consisting of collagen, is forming.
This process can take up to 6 weeks after the injury.
Phase 3
The maturity phase / remodelling phase
This phase begins several weeks after stage 2.
The collagen is now being replaced with a much stronger type of collagen.
The body then moulds it into the line of stress in order to give the scar the same function as the tissue it replaced.
At the end of this phase, the wound is permanently sealed with scar tissue.
This process can take any where from 3 weeks, to 2 years!
